Calling all neighbors. Mt. Royal Elementary/Middle School 121 McMechen Street is in the midst of a large project – installing a pollinator garden , a garden planted predominately with flowers that provide nectar or pollen for a wide range of pollinating insects. This will add an outdoor classroom to their campus.
They are looking for volunteers for two work days next month: Saturdays’ May 12th and May 19th beginning at 8:30 am until 2:00 pm.
No special skills are required for this event. If you know how to use a hammer and can contribute some time, we’d love to have your help. The students are currently painting the picket fence to be installed and by the end of Day 1, and they hope to have it up for all the community and students of the school to enjoy.

Please note: kids are awesome, but they are better left to hang on the playground for these events.
