SUMMARY:BHCA Event Planning
DESCRIPTION:BHCA is beginning event planning assessments for 2022. Assuming COVID-19 doesn’t continue wreaking havoc into the warmer months\, it’s set to be a busy year for Bolton Hill\, with neighborhood festivals\, concerts\, parades\, and block parties. As we return to gathering as we had before the pandemic\, it’s a good moment to reflect together as the Bolton Hill community about which events BHCA is committed to supporting with money and volunteer support\, where other organizations can take the lead\, and the timing and format of these events\, which include: \n\nNo Boundaries Coalition Block Party. Hosted by the No Boundaries Coalition and Jubilee Arts\, it’s been held on Pennsylvania Avenue for the past decade\, but it may be held around Eutaw Place in late spring this year\, doubling as an opening celebration for Unity Hall.\nGreen Streets Festival. A new event\, it would bring together Bolton Hill\, Marble Hill\, and Madison Park on the 1400 block of Eutaw. (Postponed now until 2023 because of COVID.)\nBoltonstock. Held in Sumpter Park in June for several years\, it’s Bolton Hill’s summer opener with music\, food\, drink.\nArts in the Parks. An inaugural event series last year celebrating local music performers and parks in Bolton Hill\, Marble Hill\, and Madison Park.\nCrab Feast. Bolton Hill’s thank you to our first responders\, greeners\, and cleaners held at Bolton Hill Swim and Tennis Club in August.\nFestival on the Hill. Bolton Hill’s longtime fall festival party attracting music talent\, vendors\, food\, drink\, and plenty of fun in October.\nHalloween Parade. A newer\, family-centered event in Sumpter Park giving kids (and their parents!) an opportunity to show off their costumed best around Halloween.\n\nAll are welcome to attend! \n
