Spring Clean-up Day
Come on out rain or shine and any time of the day with other volunteers around the neighborhood to pick up trash as part of a spring clean-up event co-organized by the Bolton Hill Garden Club and Bolton Hill Community Association. Trash bags will be available at 9 a.m. at Fitzgerald Park and can be placed by any metal trash can around the neighborhood for the Midtown Community Benefits District to pick up. At the April BHCA meeting, bike planners with the Baltimore City Department of Transportation shared plans to create bike lane corridor on Eutaw Place and a bicycle boulevard on Madison Avenue. Makeover Day will be literally giving the park its prime-time makeover. The Friends of Contee-Parago Park be creating new planting beds, removing non-native plants including irises, daffodils, and daylilies (which will be given away to volunteers), installing over 1,400 new plants, and unveiling new signage.
