BHCA urges city to move forward on a bike lane along Eutaw Place

Last month, BHCA urged the city’s Department of Transportation to move forward on plans for a bike lane along Eutaw Place, but to take note of concerns of businesses and residents about the continuing need for car parking along the street.

New EV charging station now operating at State Center

BGE and the State of Maryland have partnered to allow the public to charge electric vehicles at State Center. Eight spaces are available with Level 2 (240V) chargers.

Bike lanes possible someday on Eutaw Place – or not

Eutaw Place neighbor Henri Daniels organized a meeting at Unity Hall last month to have members of the city Department of Transportation hear concerns about a bike lane that could be installed on Eutaw Place. Approximately 60 people attended the meeting.

The director of city’s office of services for the aging, Jim Macgill, met with the BHCA Older Residents Task Force last month and reviewed a surprising array of programs and services that the city or state make available to older residents.

City plans bike lanes expansions in and near Bolton Hill

The city’s Department of Transportation is planning bicycle lane “rapid enhancement” in and around Bolton Hill in the coming months, two city Department of Transportation planners told the BHCA April meeting.

Howard Tunnel project could start late summer near our neighborhood

The long-awaited rebuilding and expansion of the Howard Street freight railway tunnel could begin as soon as late summer.  Stretches of Mt. Royal Avenue on the edge of Bolton Hill and the North Avenue Bridge that heads east to Station North will be affected by the massive, $466 million project.
