Older Residents Task Force
A task force of older residents has started gathering and calling itself the Bolton Hill Gray Panthers to look for ways to create community-based support and promote resources available to residents who are age 60+ and aiming to live a lot longer in their Bolton Hill residences. This fourth gathering is open to anyone with an interest in the subject and will take place at Linden Senior Apartments, with a potluck lunch on the grounds afterward. Gray Panthers Ice Cream Social
BHCA's Older Residents Task Force -- now known as the Bolton Hill Gray Panthers -- will host an ice cream social Saturday, Oct. 1, at 3 p.m. on the grounds of Linden Park Apartments, 301 McMechen Street. Bolton Hill residents 60 years of age or older are invited to attend. A $3 cash donation is suggested to cover costs. Bring a chair or blanket.

Salon: Curious about Cannabis?
BHCA’s Gray Panthers Task Force hosts a salon on Wednesday, Oct. 25, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. with an expert on the medical and recreational uses of cannabis. Dr. Dan Morhaim is a member of the faculty at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and a longtime member of the Maryland General Assembly who advised state officials as they changes laws on cannabis use. Gray Panthers Salon on Orioles and Foxy Ned Hanlon
BHCA’s Gray Panthers Salon features a talk by baseball writer Rich Dubroff on this year’s World Series-bound (let’s hope) Baltimore Orioles. Also, Bolton Hill resident Tom Delise will talk about Foxy Ned Hanlon, an early baseball great who lived on Mt. Royal Avenue. He and his co-author will sell and sign their book Monday, July 22 at 6:30 – 8 p.m. at Linden Park Apartments Community Room, 301 McMechen St.

Golden Bolton Hill Salute
BHCA and its Gray Panthers Task Force will host a reception on Friday, Feb. 28, from 3 to 5 p.m. to honor some three dozen Bolton Hill residents who have lived in the neighborhood for 50 years or more. Book Talk on ‘Flee North’
Scott Shane, a former New York Times writer, discusses his book Flee North, about the heroic, unknown life of Thomas Smallwood – a freed slave who helped other slaves in Maryland and DC escape, while taunting their enslavers. Hosted by BHCA’s Gray Panthers and open to all. Books will be available for sale ($20 cash only).
