MICA student becomes 8th Bolton Hill carjacking victim this year
A MICA student had her Volkswagen carjacked on West Lafayette Avenue, the eighth carjacking in 2022 in Bolton Hill. There were none reported last year, although both in the neighborhood and citywide these incidents have been on the rise for a few years.

The Golden Eagles of Mount Royal Elementary/Middle School are back on campus after nearly two years of virtual learning.
MICA students back on campus
Maryland Institute College of Art is hoping for “close to normal operations” through the fall semester, the school has announced. That status extends to educational, residential, and supporting college functions. But neighbors are discouraged from visiting the campus.

How COVID-19 is impacting schools in and around Bolton Hill
In June, with the city in June trailing the rest of the state in opening up from Gov. Larry Hogan’s original Stay at Home Order issued March 30, plans for re-opening schools in the area during the summer and fall terms are still a muddle.
