Black History Month Party with a Purpose
Volunteer Tree Pruning
We’ll partner with Midtown Benefits District, whose crew will help with the pruning and bring the tools for volunteers. The City and Midtown can’t keep all the trees well pruned themselves, so that’s where volunteers can become actively involved in maintaining neighborhood trees. No experience necessary—just bring some gloves! Meet at Fitzgerald Park.

ArtsCentric's rendition of the broadway favorite, Hair. Several Bolton Hill households are active with ArtsCentric raising money and expanding its outreach to public schools and surrounding communities. Hair is a musical is about a group of hippies in the 1960s who are struggling with issues of the day including the war in Vietnam and the draft. Many of the musical's songs became individual record hits that are commonly recognized. March 13 is opening night, but it'll run through April 5.

Unity@Park Ave. Community Input Session #1
A new effort is underway to paint murals on the row house walls at Park and North facing Reservoir Hill. The owners of both buildings very much want to see those walls painted with murals that can help rejuvenate the Park and North intersection and for community members on either side of North Avenue to provide input on their design. Peter Van Buren is offering outdoor Sheng Zhen classes this summer every Tuesday from 5-6 p.m. in Rutter's Mill Park in Bolton Hill. The classes are FREE with the encouragement to donate to the International Sheng Zhen Society here. But in these times, free is just fine.
