Each year, the Bolton Hill Garden Club (BHGC) holds a holiday greens sale to raise money to support BHGC’s educational, greening and social activities. This year, the sale will take place on Saturday, Dec. 7, at Brown Memorial Presbyterian Church from 9 a.m. to 3 pm.
BHGC also accepts pre-orders through the online BHGC Store, an easy and convenient way to shop for holiday décor and gifts. BHGC is selling wreaths of various sizes, swags, evergreen roping and poinsettias. New to the store this year are bare root and potted amaryllis and paperwhite bulbs, as well as miniature boxwood trees. Hugely popular last year were high quality beeswax candles in a variety of colors, shapes and sizes, including sculpted ones. Beeswax candles are slow burning, toxin-free, and burn brighter than soy or paraffin candles.
Also for sale–but only at the in-person sale–will be items from Hon’s Honey, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing healing and employment for women survivors of trauma.
