Bolton Hill Nursery names new leader

Francine Marchese

Francine Marchese, a longtime teacher and early childhood education leader, has been selected to lead the Bolton Hill Nursery starting in July. She replaces Beth Casey, the school’s executive director, who is retiring.

Marchese is currently a teacher and professional development coach in Baltimore County public schools. She also teaches at Johns Hopkins University’s school of education and at the University of Maryland. Trained as an artist, she has a master’s degree in education and trained as a coach at Columbia University’s teachers’ college. She lives in south Baltimore and has two grown children.

“Francine’s professional background more than prepares her to take the reins at BHN,” a BHN board announcement said. “She is steeped in best practices in early childhood education as well as teacher support and we are confident she is ready to lead at Bolton Hill Nursery.”
