MRIA focused on two important topics at their first meeting following the summer break, held, as always, on the first Tuesday of the month: security cameras and the new neighborhood communication plan.
The sentencing hearing in the state’s case against Michael Privette, convicted of multiple sexual assaults, including in Bolton Hill, took place on Wednesday, Sept. 21.
MRIA may have suspended board meetings over the summer, but a group of dedicated board members were busy during the summer break.

Major Russell reported that an officer has been assigned to patrol the neighborhood at night through the summer to provide a visible presence on the street.
Who could imagine that you could turn an evening’s worth of chili into over $3,500?
But, that’s what MRIA’s Churches and Schools committee accomplished by hosting a chili fundraiser dinner on April 19 at Brown Memorial church.
Members at the well-attended May 3 Annual Meeting unanimously approved the nominated slate of Executive Board Officers and new or re-elected Board Members (See the slate of nominees here.)
